COLORADO DEPOTS 3 (L-Z)

Leadville, CO. Taken in summer, the first season of the new tourist line. Formerly C&S, then BN. It had just had a new roof put on, and lots of nice things done to the rest of the depot. It is a great place to visit and you might consider riding the train.
Leadville in the winter can be fun, but it can be cold, cold, cold. The first time I went to Leadville was this winter. When we stopped to take this photo, my wife slid out of the car and disappeared into about 5 feet of snow in the ditch.
South Torrington, CO. Out in the east plains, out in the flat lands. But a charming depot. Shot from trackside.
Torrington, again. Streetside.
Silverton, CO. Photo taken by Jerry Turner.
Steamboat Springs, CO. Noted for skiing, the area is also great in the summer, too. D&RGW line, now -yuk! UP. Taken from trackside.
Steamboat Springs, again. Streetside.
Trinidad, CO. ATSF (BNSF) and Amtrak depot. Shot from trackside.

SCRAPED AWAY IN 2007 FOR HIGHWAY OVERPASS

Trinidad, CO again. Taken from across the tracks. I always stop for pizza when I go through Trinidad. I used to drive all the way from Denver just to eat pizza there. And the ride was nice, too!
Trinidad, CO. The BN depot is a great depot. I like the way the depot site feels. Seems special, somehow.
